All that glitters...

...is not gold!

Last night this came true before my very eyes as my fabulous friend Jennifer transformed from her usual smart, high energy, well put together self into an amazing glittery joy giving machine!

Let me explain... a few weeks ago I confessed my weakness for Stella and Dot jewelry, well this weakness is in large part attributable to Jennifer, who caught the bug earlier than me and has been going rapidly uphill ever since!

I met Jennifer about nine years ago when we worked together in the HR team of a large global hotel company, we had SO much fun together, did great work and from early on realized that we were kindred spirits, born on two different continents to two different sets of parents but definitely sisters at heart.

Jennifer's career has gone from strength to strength ever since, she worked at a wonderful stylish furniture company and now juggles being a wife & mummy with a successful role as an HR consultant, professional coach and an active Church volunteer. She's busy!

But even in the midst of all of that busyness, the siren call of Stella and Dot Jewels was something she could resist no longer! After two years of loving them from afar she finally took the plunge, became a Stella & Dot Stylist and last night I was privileged to host her inaugural trunk show at my home :-)

Have you ever watched anyone who is REALLY good at what they do? Their work seems effortless, they speak in ways you may never have heard them speak before, their actions become very deliberate but with no wasted effort and they constantly innovate without appearing to struggle. This was the Jennifer I saw last night. She was poetry in motion.

Now remember I've seen Jennifer work for many years doing things she's very successful at, but I've never seen her sparkle and glitter as much as she did last night - it was just awesome to behold.

I have no doubt in my mind that Jennifer has found work that's perfectly designed for her talents, skills and passions, work she LOVES and will be very successful at. Her love of this new work brings JOY to others as they experience Stella and Dot magic with a unique Jennifer twist!

My prayer today and always is that YOU are in a place perfectly designed for your skills, talents and passions; a place you LOVE that brings you and others much JOY.

Have a FABULOUS Friday y'all

  2. This was so eloquently written and so quintessential of Jennifer's spirit. I love it! I can't wait to see Jen in motion...although I totally imagine the scenario just as you wrote about it! Cheers to you!
