I had an interesting revelation on the way to work yesterday, I was listening to KTIS our local Christian radio station and they were talking about the Drive Through Difference a program they encourage where on the first friday of each month their listeners to do something unexpectedly nice for a stranger like pay for the car behind them at the drive-thru, or the person next in line at the gas (petrol) station.
When this happens, the fortunate recipient is given a little card telling them about KTIS and asking them to call in and tell of their experience. Some of the calls are breathtaking, people who are so down, so discouraged and so burdened with life get a little glimpse of God's goodness through someone else and all of a sudden they feel their burden lifted, discouragement & depression banished if only for a little while.
It seems to me that the Drive Through Difference is really Joy, Love and Work in action...
Firstly someone takes the initiative to "do something differently" WORK
By doing something differently they demonstrate LOVE
And the net result is JOY!
I love that :-)
So why don't we celebrate Shrove Tuesday, Mardi Gras and Pancake day a little differently this year by putting our Work & Love into action and see how much JOY we can create?
